New Year's Message from Gigi

You are my people.

January of 2020 marks my 19th year in the specialty segment of the automotive aftermarket.

As I walked through the halls and hallways of the SEMA Show and the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show this past year, I am once again -- as was the case with the 18 years previous -- in awe and admiration of the ingenuity, creativity, and drive of our industry. I marvel at the imagination, care and detail given to each vehicle on display, and the enthusiasm in which buyers and exhibitors interact and discuss the latest products and industry buzz.

In speaking to my team recently and sharing my experiences, I summed it up with, "These are my people." From Big Foot to lowriders and from open-wheel to off-road, what an incredibly fun, hard-working, diverse, and innovative industry that I have the good fortune to be brought into.

And the good fortune I have to have a team at SDC that reflects all those same traits.

Thank you for a great 2019. I'm looking forward to what 2020 has in store for you, as we at SDC will be raising the bar with better services and more solutions to help you build your businesses

We're in science fiction years now, my friends. Join me in welcoming in the future!

Looking forward to working with you in this year and beyond!

Best,
G

A little about me...

Professionally, I have 19 years experience developing and launching leadingedge, SaaS-based data solutions for the automotive aftermarket. I love this industry and believe that the advancement of technology and education can prepare and drive the industry well into the future. I've served in numerous SEMA Committees, including the Business Technology Committee (BTC) which was the foundation for the SDC. I've been a guest and keynote speaker at many industry venues on marketing, eCommerce, and product data (of course!).

Personally, I grew up as a typical Southern California kid, skating, cycling, and boogie boarding. Found freedom via a driver's license and developed a love of classic and vintage cars. I now live in Orange County with my boys. If I'm not in the Diamond Bar office or on the road, you'll find me on the tennis or volleyball courts.
